Does anyone here have Adult ADD/ADHD?

What do you do for it? Did a doctor diagnose it?

I had a babysitter drink beer while watching my 3yr old. I know because several of my mom friends

told me after the fact. Long story short, I am a single mom and had the flu last week. I'd hired a babysitter to take by child to a daytime birthday party so I could sleep on a saturday afternoon. On Sunday, I phoned my other mom friends to ask about the party. Two of them told me the babysitter had several beers. I confronted the babysitter and this is what she said:

"I couldn't understand why you would send me to that type of party because -everyone- was drinking. So I had one sip of a beer to be polite and put it down. After a few hours I thought it was safe to drive home, because I wasn't even buzzed. But I just could not believe the type of party you sent me to."

My friends are not the drinking types. I myself do not even drink or serve it at parties.

I am so incredibly livid. Not only is she lying, but she is trying to make it -my- fault for sending her to "that type of party".
WTF? Do I have a right to be livid??? I need to vent and get feedback, because -as a single mom- all my friends are now tucked in with their husbands and families. HELP!!

Update: October 24, 2009.
Thankyou for the intelligent responses. I am shocked that people judge a single mom for hiring childcare. I am also saddened by the young people who think it's okay to drink on the job- as long that job is simply to watch over the life of a small child. Parenting classes should be part of our public school curricula. Over and out.

The hostess did serve beer. But like I told the babysitter, she is too old - 30 yrs old- to pay attention to peer pressure? Apart from being paid to watch a child, not party. Also, it's a healthy community here, and the parents I associate with are not big drinkers.

What is belitteling ?

My girl tends to run to her roomate infront of me and says "guess what he did...." almost like she is trying to make me look stupid. What is this about ? Also she says stuff like " oh, your so cool" all sarcastic like a put down. Or says "oh,my boyfriend is such a bad boy " with the same kind of sarcasm. For example yesterday a taxi driver was driving up to us, and there was a puddel and she said "he better not splash us. And I said "He knows better" then she says " oh, your such a bad bad boy..all sarcastic like a put down... Like what is she doing ?? This is just one of 100 examples.. Is this belittleing ? It feels like she is putting me down, but in a passive way...

A painful truth about cheating

Most of you aren't going to be happy reading this and you will strongly disagree because you don't want this to be true but......

CHEATING IS NORMAL AND NATURAL BEHAVIOR

In fact, it takes a lot more willpower and strength to go against the natural instinct of cheating. To not cheat is to go against nature.

However, in no way does this condone or encourage cheating, this simply explains cheating.
