Those special pills...Is it common for women to gain weight initially when they begin to take birth control pills? I, personally, am not on birth control, but am considering going on it as of late. Any suggestions for a specific brand or other methods of birth control?

Nuva ring- works great, you don't worry about it but once a month. It's not a barrier method, of course, so you still have to protect yourself from disease and infection- but for birth control it works well.

for starters other methods of birth control can be to smoke some good bud. Not only are you going to feel the urge to have amazing sex you will not gain weight... but maybe have a few exceptions of munchies

Ask your doctor which kinds of pills include weight gain as a side effect. Not all of them make you gain weight. Just do NOT get depo provera. I gained 17 pounds on that!!
