Birth Control Working?I've been on birth control pills for about 2 years. I've gone about 4 or 5 months without forgetting a single pill. But last week, i went a few days without them ( no sex). I was suppose to start them on Friday, but started them on Monday, so i've had 6 pills so far. I had sex today, and my partner pulled out..are the pills back in my system.. could i get pregnant??

You are FINE. The pills that you DID take prevented ovulation. Without an egg to meet that sperm, nothing can happen. :)

Any time you've missed more then a few pills in less then a week, you better be using back up. If its to hard to remember to take the pills. Then I'd try switching to something else, the shot, nuvo something. Can you really afford to take the risk of gettin knocked up right now? Better to be safe then sorry for the next 18+ years.

I've always been told that if you miss more than 1 day in a week, you should wait a week before having unprotected sex.

hmm thats tricky. it depends on the brand of pills your taking. it should tell you the instructions. Maybe try the "morning" pill?

Don't worry too much. You could be but I sometimes start a pack a few days late after I get my period and have yet to get pregnant. Sometimes I take them a few hours later than I'm supposed to. I think you'll be fine. :)

You can get pregnant if you forget a pill or two. There is a very small amount of synthetic estrogen or/and progesterone in each little pill which prevent the release of an egg with the exception of the days before you get your period. Your period might be abnormal if you forget the pill for a few days (earlier or later), but that does not mean you have released an egg. Not only that, but birth control pills make it so that your uterine lining (in your uterus) does not accept the attachment of a fertilized egg if you have been taking your birth control pills regularly. But if your two weeks later or more than the usual time you have your period, then I would definitly suggest a pregnancy test.
