Do your homework, and you can buy one for well below invoice. I just bought a fully optioned 2008 Corvette coupe for just about $12,000 off sticker, which figures out to well below invoice price. The way to do that is, check the volume dealers, they always get kick-backs from the manufacturer because they do sell in volume. Another "perk" from a volume seller, they get more allocation, especially for in-demand vehicles, and if you order,(as I did), it's a much expedited process compared to asmall volume store. Mine took less than 5 weeks from the time I ordered till the day I drove it off the lot. Check out the Edmunds and Consumer Reports guides, they have lots of good info.
