aside from an IV how can you hydrate someone? Will drinking lots of water help?

I would get some Pedialyte, it's for dehydrated children, it couldn't hurt him, it's full of the electrolytes he needs.

Yes, and gatorade or other sports drinks. Eat some bananas. Eat some saltines. Get your electrolytes back in order.

Drink electro lites. Like gatorade or if you can get pedia lite in them that is way much better. It taste like shit but works. Had to give hubbie electrolites before he died for dehydr.

You need to restore the electolyte balance, otherwise you can drink all day and not rehydrate!

Grab some dill pickles, a banana, some potato chips, etc...
and drink a ton of gatorade-type drinks.
NO pop, coffee, or tea. Those do not count as fluid intake.
also pediatlyte drinks and freezies can help. THey taste wretched though. :(

Drink Gatorade,water,eat oranges,get in a tub full of water.
Don't forget a little salt and sugar if you use straight water.

Not just water, tea helps too. Green tea, White tea, gingerale, gaderoade, lemonade, cranberry juice

Yes... and Gatorade will help too. It will put the sodium back in their body. Sodium they need.
