(Male, 29-35) asked:

I'm getting ready to run over to my girlfriend's parents house to ask their permission to propose to her.
The more I think about this, the worse I'm going to make it, won't I? Like a band-aid, I've just got to yank it off.
Some words of encouragement, please?

Update: May 16, 2008.
Its done. They were happy, said they knew she and I were going to be together. Her dad thought i was there to borrow the lawnmower at first (which actually would have been a really slick way to have her make sure they were both home for me, too late now). Wish me luck tomorrow :o)

Don't be nervous! It's not like they are going to say "no". You are just being polite by telling them beforehand. It's just a formality. Congrats!
