Have you ever gotten shingles?
How long did it last and is there any natural/unatural way you could get rid of them faster besides medication?

Shingles have to run their course. It's a virus. Be advised that stressful situations can cause relapses.

I have never had them but knew people who did. It is a process and takes time. Sorry

I have had the unfortunate pleasure of getting them TWICE! They say that's not supposed to happen, but it did.

No remedies that I know of. I hope yours was not as painful as mine was. YUCK!

I don't think there is a natural way.
I had them for months and months around my belt line.

My mother had them on her chest.

As far as I know they are a lesser form of the Measles - and they itch like hell.

My mothers got infected because she scratched - she was told they would scar ... but they didn't.

I think you can expect to have them for about 8 weeks at least.

I got them when I was being treated with chemotherapy. My doctor said it was common for cancer patients, whose immune systems were compromised, to get them. He gave me some kind of prescription to take to get rid of them. Sorry, I don't remember what it was - that whole period of my life is one big blur.

Yes, I had them about 9 years ago. It was pure torture, but I only missed one day of work. They were on my calf and went down to my feet and even the bottom of my feet. I thought I had poison ivy, but a dermatologist diagnosed me. He put me on anti-virals. I was in fact under a lot of stress.

I have scars from the lesions on a small part of my left ankle. Fortunately, they are in a barely noticeable spot, and they just look like freckles.

I had a mild case if there is such a thing...last year. It was on the back of my arm. I only missed a couple of days work, but they did hurt and itch...it was like the feeling of a raw nerve, even if a shirt or something soft touched the spot. I felt like I had a mild flu. Taking acidaflous (spelling) the active culture in yogurt and comes in vitamin form helps it;along with Lysine. It is not from the measles, but rather the chicken pox, the same virus family.
