Okay, you have a wonderful marriage with three kids, within one month you discover that both your wife and your young daughter both have cancer. insurance and finances only allow you to treat one of them. which one do you watch slowly die in pain, your wife or your child?

Use our screwed up system to your benefit. Get a divorce and go on Medicaid so they will both be treated! I am not saying you can't still live together, I am saying you just can't be married. Online divorce are less than $150.00. I would much rather your family be treated than the illegals that haven't contributed any taxes!!!!

Since you set it up to be a "rational" decission based on insurance and finances:
Survival rate and agressiveness of the cancers would have to be evaluated in both cases.
... and after a lengthy evaluation of both it would have to be decided that both get treatment - because it just so happened that a boy was taken away from his family (last week) when they refused chemo treatment for their boy (because of all the suffering *IT* caused.)

My father is doing chemo and has been for the last 6 months.
(there is pain and suffering in taking the treatment as there is without taking the treatment)
