A Career Woman (Female, St.Louis, 46-55, Administrative) answered:

No--neither of us do. I dont like to wear rings or jewlery of any kind except on special occassions. He knew this before we married and he is fine with it. It doesnt matter to me if he wears his or not. Its not wedding rings that make a relationship strong, they are merely symbols for others in our case. We dont view wedding rings as anything special and dont feel we need to "advertise" to others we are married. If they want to know they will ask or just wonder themsleves and never ask.

A year after my husband died, I took his initial ring and diamonds from my wedding set and had a double J ring made. Both our names start with a J. His J is block form with round diamonds pave inset and my J is below with marquise diamonds with prong setting. I wear it on my right hand.

I have never and will never take mine off, except to be cleaned. He hasn't taken his off since we wed. They are a symbol of our love towards each other. I love looking down at his hand and seeing the ring I gave him, and same for him. I would feel like I lost a piece of my heart if I took mine off.

I'm not married, but if I were I would always wear it (I do wear the wedding ring that my Nana gave my Grampa on my thumb and have worn it ever since Nana died and Grampa gave it to me. FYI - he worked in the shipyard so couldn't wear it much and when he retired, it didn't fit so they simply got him a new one and the original went in Nana's jewelry box. They were married 63 yrs when Nana died.)

When I was married (for 22 years) I always wore my ring. I only took it off for cleaning.

Even after our separation, and my ex was dating, I wore my ring. My daughter asked me about that once, and I just told her, it was because I "was" still married. I took it off the day the divorce was final.

It sat in a drawer for a couple years, along with one my ex left that I'd given him on our 15th anniv. They each had some small diamonds, of the same size. I had a piece of jewelry made for each of our 4 kids using one diamond from my ring, and one from his. They were created out of the love of our union, and I thought it a fitting memento of that. :)

Not always.... I'm not big on jewelry on a normal basis, and now I've gone and lost it.
