Tribute to Dad on Mother's day / Family & Parenting / 3:20 PM - Sunday May 11, 2008
A Creative (Female, Who Cares?) asked:

To All You Dad's That Stepped Up To The Plate

Dad,
There was a time when I was small
You stepped right up and did it all
Please let me say on this fine day
You are loved more than I can say.
Happy mother's Day, Dad!

Oh, I agree. There are some Dad's that play a better mother role than the mother who gave birth to the child. These dads step right up and keep stepping up until the child gets grown and on their own and they continue to stay in their child or children's lives throughout their lives.

I like that. There were several years that I was too sick to do much, and Dad really pitched in and took over. Learned to braid one daughter's hair (it was below her waist), detangle another's, make sure everyone had breakfast, lunch money, and dinner...He made a great mom!
