I would go if they drafted me. I doubt very seriously that they would want me but I would go. I think we all need to go to war so we know what everyone else is going through. Not just the ones that are in the military but their families go through so much too. They have to take care of the children and go on with their lives while their loved ones are gone and then they may not come back.

I think I don't have to worry about that at 60. But I heard a nurse say one of the branches of service upped the age for nurses to 50. I am not a nurse but if they can do that for one group what is to stop them from upping the age of all people. SHould I move to Canada? Now seriously my personal belief is that there should not be a draft especially for women. I reaaly don't know what I would have done as a young women since I had no such concerns.

I would probably go and just make sure that my family was taken care of before I went...guess it would depend on if they were 'desperate'...:D

I would go to war if I were drafted. I did military time already, so I have some understanding. I feel that, if I reap the benefits from the country I was lucky enough to be born as a citizen in, I need to pay whatever price the country might expect for me to pay. I do not LIKE war, I do not want to go to war, but I would accept the responsibilities of being a citizen, as well as I accept the benefits.

I would go to war if I were drafted I served before so I have no problem with it. Ironically, I would cry a river of tears if my son was drafted. Go figure.

I think I'd be exempt since my husband is military and we have a 6 year old son. But if they called me, I'd go.

This war? I would go to Canada, I have no intention to fight for a cause I do not believe in. If it were something like WWII where innocent people were being thrown into gas chambers, I would go gladly. But women can't be drafted so I guess I have nothing to worry about, not saying it's fair by the way, just the way it is.

I went to the first Iraq sqirmish, and they didn't have to draft me. Any one who's chicken sh** to draft dodge in the first place isn't someone I'd want to be in a life and death situation with anyway.

Well, I'm too old to draft at this point, but were I, yes and I would go as the ordained minister that I am (which is why I wasn't drafted for Desert Storm in tne '90's).
Blessings! Jenny

I would have to say I would go but its kind of easy to say because I know that would never happen. If some country was dumb enough to try and invade us and come to our soil I would pick up a gun and get to the fighting without question.
