My husband and I went out of town for a 3 day weekend. I thought I had packed my birth control, but couldn't find it when we reached our hotel. We didn't have sex while we were away, but I took the missed birth control plus my one for the day when we got back home. We also waited an aditional week to have sex, just to be safe. I have not gotten my period, and am not pregnant. Could too much of the birth control at once have been bad for my body? I was always told to take the pills if you miss them on their designated day.

Well, have you read the little information sheet that comes with your pills? I'm pretty sure if you miss 3 days in a row, you're just supposed to start a new package... So you took 4 pills all at once? I'm sure that it's not that bad for you (the morning after pill is the equivalent of a few days of birth control pills), but I'm sure it wasn't necessary, and you may experience some side effects (like nausea) for the next couple of days, and your period may be a little wonky this time around and possibly next time around...

Next time, read the info that comes with your pills and follow the directions there. If you no longer have you info sheet, I'm pretty sure you can look them up online.

I'm on the pill and I accidently dropped one of my pills down the sink so obviously I wasn't able to take it that day. I didn't get my period and was freaking out. I went to the Dr. and she told me that even missing it one day can completely mess up your menstrual cycle. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about and next month you'll be back to being regular.

If you miss taking a pill then it is conciderd a missed day. You should not take make up doeses. Some of the pills contain hormones and you could mess up your system.If you miss a day or more they are missed days. When you get back to your pill pack you just start the pill you would have taken if you would not have missed etc. Hope that helps. :)

Well you were right at taking the missed doses. But you should have not taken all the doses you missed. When you had came back; you should have taken just one day of the missed dose and the one that was due. And continue taking the pill on your regular routine. Just use a pertection like a condom to back it up. So that you don't mess up your dose regimen. So that when you have your period your still on your schedule. Cause taking the three that you missed was not good. It could have made you feel sick.
