I did,nt get a christmas gift this year,as a matter of fact i have,nt bought a recieved a gift in [10-yrs]and it does,nt bother me just knowing that i can spend christmas with family and friends means more to me than material things and to celebrate the Lords birthday,life itself is a gift,i wish the whole world would think like me.Happy Holidays.

Yeah, but you are missing the boat on giving gifts. I had an epiphany a few years ago at my nephew's first christmas. I found the perfect gift and I spent the whole month excited for him to open it. Giving gifts for Christmas is about making someone you love happy. We've lost that in the noise of obligatory gift exchanges with people we've grown so distant from that we don't even know what they will enjoy so we get them cash or gift certificates.

If we gave gifts without expecting one in return, and we gave them to people we love because we know they will love the gift and not because we think we are supposed to, I think we might all appreciate Christmas a little more.
