A Career Woman (Female, 26-28, Who Cares?) asked:

I just found a Christmas present on my front porch from my ex boyfriend's family. You see we broke up a week before Christmas. I had made his family a personal gift and mailed it to them because I still thought they should have it. It was hard to open a gift from his family and now it makes me sad. I want to thank them, but I already sent them a card with the gift I sent that wihsed them a Merrry Christmas and thanked them for the wonderful times together. Do I send another card or just leave things as they are?

I would leave things as they are- you did enough by sending them something. By sending another card I think that would just make things harder on your part and theirs.

It never hurts to be kind. If you want to send a "thank you" card, do so. No one will hold that against you. Then you can move on with no worries.

send another card and let them know how much you appreciate them accepting you and how good the gift made you feel. There's nothing wrong with that.

Just leave it as it is...it was thoughtful of you and them.
